Impulsive, frank and filled with wonder, Ondine is a young water nymph drawn to the human world. One stormy night by the lake, she meets Hans, a knight-errant travelling through the nearby forest, and she immediately and violently falls in love with him. To free herself of the water world, Ondine makes a secret pact with the spirit of the lake, which ultimately brings about a tragic end. “Ondine” is just as poetic, thought-provoking, and deeply touching as it is uniquely absurd! It’s full of extravagant characters, unhinged dialogues and random digressions. This play will shatter all expectations!

Cheynet and AD Agnes Perry-Robinson do a great job in bringing all the disparate elements together into a unified whole

Around 600AD 300 mead-fed warriors from Gododdin (roughly today’s Lothians) set off from Din Eidyn (today’s Edinburgh) to do battle at Catraeth, Deira, in what is now northern England. Only one fighter came back. The Gododdin court poet, Aneirin, sang elegies, death odes, for the fallen, in Old Welsh, the language of the time. This modern English rendition in free verse commemorates the deaths of the Men of Gododdin. Dark, dark-age poetry, very bloody and poignant, a virtually unknown classic.
